A breast support garment 13 comprises a pair of cup portions 14, 15 each having inner and outer sides respectively located at a position between a users breasts and at an outer portion of each brest, a joining portion to interconnect the inner sides and means for attachment to a users body, herein each cup portion is provided with a breast supporting element 10 comprising a flexible strip that is curved with respect to at least two orthogonal planes. Each element may be provided with a plurality of slits (11, figure 1) extending partially across its width, length or both. One edge (12) of the element lying adjacent to the chest wall of a user preferably has an elliptical cross-section. Also disclosed is a breast supporting element (10) for use in a cup of a breast support garment. Further disclosed is a breast support garment 13 comprising a pair of cup portions 14, 15, a pair of shoulder straps 20, 21 and a pair of wings 16, 17 interconnected by a strap 18 having a slide adjuster (22, figure 4) for adjusting its length. |
