The invention relates to a building (2) and to a method for ventilating and controlling the temperature of a building, in particular office buildings, residential buildings, or public buildings, having a concrete ceiling (4) comprising a water-based cooling and heating system integrated in the concrete ceiling as a circulating system for heating and cooling the internal rooms (10) thereof; wherein an air-handling duct system (30) having an air inlet part (32) and having an air exhaust part (34) is provided for feeding in fresh air into the internal rooms (10) and for exhausting air from the internal rooms (10), such that the air inlet part (32) and the air exhaust part (34) are coupled to each other at a preferably central location by means of a heat exchanger device (40), so that the fresh air entering from outside is thereby preheated or pre-cooled, wherein at least one part (32) of the duct system (30) associated with an internal room (10) and at least 4 m long is embedded in the concrete of the concrete ceiling (4) of the internal room (10) and opens into the internal room (10) via an inflow opening (38), so that the preheated or pre-cooled fresh air can be brought to substantially the same temperature of the water temperature-controlled concrete ceiling (4) and the associated internal room (10). |
