<p>The coordinate measuring device has a measuring head, a sensing device and position detection sensors, which are arranged in a defined position to the measuring head. A computer (80) is provided for detecting and evaluating the position data of the sensing device. The position detection sensors are formed as inertial sensors in the form of translational acceleration sensors for detecting translations in X-Y-Z direction.
