<p>Improved processing of an oxygenate-containing feedstock for increased production or yield of light olefins, particularly for increased relative yield of propylene is provided. Such processing involves oxygenate conversion to olefins and subsequent oxygenate conversion effluent stream treatment including isomerization of at least a portion of the 1-butenes to 2-butenes and metathesization of at least a portion of the 2-butenes to produce additional propylene.</p> |
