<p>PURPOSE: A method for preparing stainless steel is provided to reduce the content of fluorine in slag by employing cryolite as flux and to recycle slag with an environmentally-friendly method. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing stainless steel comprises steps of: performing decarbonization and denitration using oxygen blowing, deoxidizing slag and steel using a deoxidizing agent, and performing desulfurization using a desulfurizing agent(CaO) and a flux. The flux contains cryolite 15~35 weight% of the total slag weight and calcium aluminate 1.8~3 weight% of the total slag weight.</p> |
