PURPOSE: A set-top box is provided to offer a payment and retrieving/charging service using a prepaid card with low costs. CONSTITUTION: An information reading unit(110) reads the advance payment card information from a prepaid card. A payment detection unit(115) detects a payment signal coping with the broadcast signal. If the payment signal is detected, a screen configuration unit(120) constitutes a screen display data. The display data includes a payment menu corresponding to the payment signal and a charge/retrieving menu of the read prepaid card information. A screen output unit(130) outputs the screen display data to TV screen through TV output module.
