PURPOSE: A network monitor and control method thereof are provided to be independently used with a computer main body by switching the connection request signal of an Ethernet signal and a neighboring device which are inputted to the network monitor to the computer main body. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(110) receives an Ethernet signal. An interface(150) is connected to a neighboring device or a computer main body. If a switching request signal is inputted, a control unit(120) switches the connection request signal of an Ethernet signal and the neighboring device to be provided to the computer main body. The switching request signal is an image signal received from the computer main body. A driving unit(160) scales an image signal receives from the computer main body. A display unit(170) displays an image by using a scaled image signal.
