BALLAST WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF A SHIP

PURPOSE: A ballast water processing system of a ship and a method thereof are provided to sterilize the seawater by using the cooling water of engine or generator and reduce the marine pollution by sending the used water as the cooling water to a ballast tank. CONSTITUTION: A ballast water processing system of a ship comprises a seawater pump(30), a bypass line(32) and a ballast tank(33). The seawater pump is pumping the seawater. The bypass line is used among the anchorage of the ship for the ballasting of the seawater. The ballast tank saves the seawater after cooling a part in which cooling is necessary like as an engine, a generator, a motor and an air compressor through the seawater pumped with the seawater pump.
