METHOD OF CHOOSING SIZE OF BELT OF BELT CONVEYORS EQUIPPED WITH SMOOTH START SYSTEM

A method of choosing size of belt of conveyors equipped with a smooth start system includes selection of operational parameters of the conveyor belt according to expected loads taking into account required breaking force of the conveyor belt within or in excess of the maximum static strength of the conveyor belt multiplied by allowable factor of safety of the belt. Selection of the belt size is carried out with constant and starting modes of the conveyer operation during smooth and direct start.
