UNDERGROUND TUNNEL HAVING SPACE FOR ESCAPING EMERGENCY AND CONSTRUCTING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An underground tunnel with a protecting space and a method of constructing the same are provided to enable construction to be made more conveniently and enable vehicles and people to be protected in times of emergency. CONSTITUTION: An underground tunnel with a protecting space is as follows. An arched main tunnel(100) comprises a running space so that a vehicle can run. An emergency tunnel(110) is formed in an arch shaped to have a wider sectional area than that in the length direction of the main tunnel. The emergency tunnel is connected to the main tunnel and forms a protecting space for vehicles and people. A concrete wall(120) closes an area, which is separated between the main tunnel and the emergency tunnel in a radial direction. The concrete wall connects the main tunnel to the emergency tunnel.
