FIELD: mining. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for determining ultimate strength at uniaxial tension of mine rocks consists in sample loading with steel opposite directed spherical indenters and determining of breaking force and break surface area. In addition, there determined are surface areas of broken rock zones in the contact areas with indenters.
