FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: what is offered is a DNA molecule recovered from Bifidobacterium bifidum, with a sequence presented in the description, and its degenerate derivative coding -galactosidase. Also, what is presented is a p-galactosidase enzyme having a sequence presented in the description. What is offered is an expression vector containing said DNA, and a bacterial host cell containing said vector. What is offered is application of the enzyme or the host cell for preparing a mixture of oligosaccharides which can be used for preparation of foodstuff, forages for animals and medicines.
