FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: from three radio beacon centres, phase centres of antennae of which are arranged in a defined way, a group of three radio signals which allow simultaneous multiple access is synchronously transmitted at the same time from each radio beacon centre on one radio signal, and at the object, simultaneous multiple access is performed with ordered assignment of the transmitted radio signals not reflected and reflected from the earth's surface, time instants for receiving all said radio signals are recorded and the difference between the radio signal reception times is measured. Spatial coordinates are determined from simple expressions which depend on the average values of repeatedly measured differences between reception times of corresponding radio signals. The method includes a technique for selecting the most accurate of three disclosed versions of determining spatial coordinates of an object in order to obtain an axially symmetric coverage area of the systems. ^ EFFECT: possibility of variation of the configuration of the coverage area of a radio system and formation thereof depending on the set task. ^ 5 cl, 5 dwg |
