FIELD: transportation. ^ SUBSTANCE: inventions refer to baggage compartment of airplane cabin, airplane cabin, and airplane. Baggage rack of airplane cabin includes compartment with an open side providing access to the compartment for placement or retrieval of baggage and other similar cargo in this compartment, bottom surface for baggage placement and rear wall opposite to the open side of compartment. Compartment is mounted so as to turn on rotation axis between open position where passenger can access open side of compartment, and closed position where open side of compartment is closed. Additionally, baggage rack includes a door rotating so as to close off access to the open side of compartment when the compartment is in closed position and to provide access to this side when the compartment is in open position.
