PURPOSE: An article sorting system is provided to improve the working efficiency by reducing the movement frequency of a classification box through the forming of various classification openings. CONSTITUTION: An article sorting system comprises a feed box, a feed shelf(120), a classification box(112), a classification shelf(111) and a classification control unit(150). The feed box accepts the article to be provided. The feeder shelf comprises a plurality of feed openings. The article to be classified in the classification box is put. The classification shelf comprises a plurality of classification openings. The classification control unit directs the article to be provided and the classification place in which the article puts into based on the classification information to operator. A plurality of feed openings comprises a feed opening shutter. According to the article to be provided, the classification control unit controls the switching of the feed opening shutter.
