<p>Disclosed is a pressure detection unit which is disposed upon a periphery of a panel member in an information input device and which detects a press operation for the panel member, which is provided with a first substrate (21), a second substrate (22) disposed facing the first substrate (21), a pressure sensitive layer disposed between the first substrate (21) and the second substrate (22), and a first electrode (21A) provided upon the first substrate (21) and a second electrode (22A) provided upon the second substrate (22) so as to detect resistance change through the pressure sensitive layer; wherein the pressure detection unit is configured so as to provide the first electrode (21A) and the second electrode (22A) in positions that are not opposed upon normal lines of the first substrate (21) and the second substrate (22) so as to form a looped series circuit by way of the first electrode (21A), the second electrode (22A), and the pressure sensitive layer.</p> |
