<p>A method for cultivating a plant which comprises placing the plant under a pressure of 1.5-10 atmospheres inclusive and cultivating the same. A plant cultivation device (1) which comprises a cultivation chamber (10) and a compressor (20) for blowing compressed air into the cultivation chamber. A carry-in entrance (30), which is formed in the side wall (16) of the cultivation chamber (10) for carrying in/out materials to/from the chamber, is provided with a semispherical cover (31) projecting toward the inside of the cultivation chamber (10). The cover (31) is in contact, via a packing (32), with the inner face of the side wall (16) surrounding the carry-in entrance (30), thereby blocking the carry-in entrance (30). When compressed air is supplied by the compressor (20) in this state, the pressure in the cultivation chamber (10) becomes higher than the atmospheric pressure. By cultivating a plant in the high-pressure environment differing from the natural environment, the growth rate of the plant can be improved. Also provided is a plant cultivation device which enables the cultivation of a plant in a high-pressure environment.</p> |
