<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device capable of suppressing the deterioration of a tight contact surface pressure to the shaft even when centrifugal force is applied to a seal lip 13 in the sealing device attached to a rotatable housing. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device comprises: a sealing device body 1 which has a seal lip 13 coming into close contact with the outer circumferential surface of the shaft inserted to the rotatable housing so as to be slidable and a guide cylinder part 14 disposed on the outer circumference side of the seal lip 13, and is attached to the housing; a backup ring 2 which is arranged on the outer circumference of the seal lip 13 in such a state that the inner circumferential surface 2a can be brought into contact with the outer circumferential surface 13b of the seal lip 13 and has energizing force in the diameter expansion direction; and a plurality of mass bodies 3 which are arranged between the guide cylinder part 14 and the backup ring 2 and have a specific weight larger than that of the backup ring 2. The guide cylinder part 14, the mass bodies 3 and the backup ring 2 are arranged slidably between sliding surfaces which have smaller diameter toward the sealing space A side and the gradient α of sliding surfaces 2b, 3a of the backup ring 2 and the mass body 3 is larger than the gradient β of sliding surfaces 14a, 3b of the guide cylinder part 14 and the mass body 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
