<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage measuring instrument for an assembled battery having plural sets of cells, the instrument which is capable of accurately performing measurement even when the output voltage of a cell is negative. <P>SOLUTION: The voltage measuring instrument includes: polarity detection circuits 50 which are respectively provided for a plurality of cells P1 through P55 and detect polarities of voltages output from the cells; absolute value circuits 40 which are respectively provided for the plurality of cells and detect absolute values of voltages output from the cells; A/D converters 26 which are respectively provided for a plurality of blocks (61-1) through (61-5) of cells, each of which comprises at least one cell, and digitize absolute value voltages detected by absolute value circuits 40 corresponding to cells in respective blocks; and a control part 27 of voltage detecting ICs (21-1) through (21-5) which, block by block, calculate output voltages including polarities of respective cells on the basis of digitized absolute value voltages and polarities of the voltages to output total voltages of the output voltages including the polarities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
