The invention relates to a moulded fiber lid (1) for a container with a container wall (20) with a circumferential rim (21) which has an upper surface (22) and which extends from said container wall (5), said lid comprises a circumferential, curved locking wall which in contact follows said rim of said container in a radial direction starting from below said upper surface over at least 110 degrees and which lid comprises at least one solid notch (7) extending from said curved locking wall at a position in radial direction remote from said starting position and which notch (7) is provided for snappingly attaching said lid (1) on said rim (21) of said container.
