<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball-point pen that provides a sufficient ink outflow performance, and surely guides a rod at a center of an ink outflow gap. <P>SOLUTION: An inward front edge 4 is provided at the front end of a metallic tip body 2. A plurality of inward protrusions for a ball receiving seat are provided in the inner surface of the tip body 2 behind the front end edge 4 by inward pressing deformation. A ball 3 is rotatably retained between the front edge 4 and the inward protrusions. An ink outflow gap 51 radially extending outward from the center outward in the radial direction is formed between the inward protrusions. A rod 71 which biases the ball 3 forward and also brings the ball 3 into close contact with the inner surface of the front edge 4, is inserted in the ink outflow gap 51. The plurality of inward protrusions for the ball receiving seat are defined as first inward protrusions 5. A plurality of second inward protrusions 6 are provided in the inner surface of the tip body 2 behind the first inward protrusions 5.
