<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner storage container having a simple structure and capable of reducing driving torque of a rotor while ensuring seal performance at an end of a rotor shaft, and an image forming apparatus having the same. <P>SOLUTION: A rotating shaft 42 of a stirring paddle 41 is supported in a rotatable manner by a bearing hole 50 in a casing 30. A flange part 51 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rotating shaft 42 and faces against the inner surface 30a of the casing 30, and a ring-shaped sealing member 53 made of an elastic material is disposed in between the flange part 51 and the inner surface 30a of the casing 30. The inner surface 30a facing against the flange part 51 has a taper part 55 formed on it and the distance between the flange part 51 and the inner surface 30a reduces toward the diameter-direction outside of the flange part 51. Meanwhile, because the thickness T of the sealing member 53 in the axis direction is constant, compression ratio of the sealing member 53 continually increases toward the diameter-direction outside of the flange part 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
