<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand collecting apparatus for a settling basin which is provided with nozzles for jetting low pressure water to the bottom surface of the settling basin to wash down earth and sand deposited on the bottom surface thereof to a trough, and can not only efficiently wash down the earth and sand deposited on the bottom surface of the settling basin to the trough without remaining of the earth and sand in the vicinity of the side wall of the settling basin but also wash the side wall surface of the settling basin. <P>SOLUTION: In the sand collecting apparatus using a low pressure sand collecting method where low pressure water is jetted from the nozzles installed in the settling basin to the bottom surface of the settling basin in a state where water is discharged from the settling basin, thereby washing down the earth and sand deposited on the bottom surface of the settling basin to collect them into a sand collecting pit provided in the center of the bottom of the settling basin, water is jetted to the upper part of the side wall surface of the settling basin from the nozzles installed in the vicinity of the side wall of the settling basin to regions formed by dividing the bottom surface of the settling basin into a plural number and flows down the side wall surface of the settling basin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
