<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver and a television receiving method that, in a service in cooperation with data broadcasting, perform smooth change to a content. <P>SOLUTION: The television receiver has a first browser of displaying a received data broadcast, a second browser that is activated by the first browser to display a content from an external Web server. When being activated, the second browser prepares for drawing static elements, while when displaying the content, the second browser prepares for drawing dynamic elements, and outputs the dynamic elements in displayed form. The television receiving method includes a first step of displaying a received data broadcast, and a second step of displaying a content from an external Web server after the received data broadcast is displayed. In the second step, subsequently to displaying the data broadcast, drawing of static elements is prepared.
