<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting an inner pressure reduction of tires, which can determine pressure reduction of two wheels of a rear shaft by setting a threshold considering influence of loads. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a method for detecting an inner pressure reductions of respective tires by relatively comparing wheel speeds of tires attached to respective wheels of a vehicle. The method includes: a step of detecting wheel rotation information of respective tires of the vehicle; a step of calculating wheel speeds from the detected wheel rotation information; a step of finding out a pressure reduction determination value by relatively comparing the calculated wheel speeds; and a step of determining inner pressure reduction of the tires when an obtained pressure reduction determination value exceeds a predetermined threshold. The method further includes a threshold setting process which is set based on a previously found relation (a) between the DEL 2 and load sensitivity during vehicle rotation which is caused by a difference in the mass of the vehicle and load sensitivity (b) obtained by turning traveling during the determination, when a compared value of wheel seeds of front wheels and rear wheels is set as DEL2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
