<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian protecting device for a vehicle capable of securing sufficient reaction force to an impact load input from a front side of the vehicle, while reducing the cost of parts and the weight of the device by reducing the number of parts and simplifying the structure. <P>SOLUTION: A plate-like leg-sweeping member 10 mounted on the vehicle in a manner that the longitudinal direction W becomes parallel to the width direction of the vehicle is provided with first and second plate members 10a, 10b oppositely arranged in a vertical direction, and a plurality of ribs 10c formed between the first and second plate members 10a, 10b and respectively extending in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction W. Each of the ribs 10c are continuously joined to the first and second plate members 10a, 10b in a manner that a plurality of hollow closed cross sectional structures 10d extending in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction W are formed along the longitudinal direction W in the area of at least on the vehicle-front side of the leg-sweeping member 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
