<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower structure of a vehicle body rear, capable of enhancing the load absorption effect through smoother deformation of a spare tire housing and smoother rotational movement of a spare tire when a load is applied from the rear of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In the lower structure of a vehicle body rear 1, rear side members 2 are respectively divided into a rear side member front section 10 and a rear side member rear 11 in a front-to-rear direction of the vehicle; a cross member 26 below the spare tire housing is joined to the rear side member rear 11; and a central part 26a in a vehicle width direction of the cross member 26 below the spare tire housing extends toward the rear of the vehicle and is curved obliquely downward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
