<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of withstanding an impact during a collision without using a protector. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a body case constituted by the combination of an upper case and a lower case. The body case includes hose connection part 4 where a hose is freely detachably connected at the front part, buffer parts 5a and 5b projected from both sides of the hose connection part 4 respectively and extended to the rear, and buffer back surface parts 6a and 6b bent to the inner side respectively from the respective buffer parts 5a and 5b.
