<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide X-ray equipment which predicts and gives a warning about disconnection of a wire and a method for predicting disconnection of a wire in X-ray equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 70 for controlling the whole equipment comprises an accumulation load calculation section 71 which calculates an accumulation load imposed on the wire by calculating elevation distance of an X-ray irradiation section, a disconnection time prediction section 72 which predicts disconnection time of the wire on the basis of the accumulation load calculated by the accumulation load calculation section 71, and a memory section 73 which stores various data including loads imposed on the wire 51 when the X-ray irradiation section moves, arrangements of pulleys or the like.
