PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply perform an operation for reading information in an area specified on a display unit of an information processing device and transmitting to the display unit.

SOLUTION: An electronic pen comprises a wireless communication unit 404 that performs close-range one-to-one communication with a communication partner device 300 having a display unit 302; a pen tip for specifying information displayed on the display unit 302; a reception processing unit 108 that constitutes the wireless communication unit 404 and that acquires the information specified by the pen tip based on the communication with the communication partner device; a recording unit 402 that records the acquired information; and a transmission processing unit 106 that constitutes the wireless communication unit 404 and that transmits the information recorded in the recording unit 402.
