<p>A process for the removal of lignin from black liquor comprising, a)oxidizing the black liquor containing lignin to remove total reduced sulphur (TRS), b)acidifying the oxidized black liquor to precipitate lignin and c)filtering precipitated lignin from the acidified black liquor. The filtering is followed by an optional washing of the filtered lignin with water and/or acid.</p> |
