<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device and an information providing method that can provide priority information intelligibly and effectively by improving an interruption method of speech information being currently provided. <P>SOLUTION: Speech information W in a unit of part of speech is arranged in a predetermined order and thereby a speech information set S in a unit of sentence is created. Attributes are set to a plurality pieces of the speech information W in a unit of part of speech; i.e. an attribute "interruptible after reproduction" showing that reproduction of priority interruption information Y1 can be started after reproducing the speech information W, or an attribute "uninterruptible after reproduction" showing that the reproduction of priority interruption information Y1 can not be started even after reproducing the speech information. Upon being input the priority interruption information Y1 of which priority is higher than that of the speech information set S being currently reproduced, if the speech information being reproduced at that point is "interruptible after reproduction", the priority interruption information Y1 is reproduced after reproducing the speech information, and if the speech information being reproduced at that point is "uninterruptible after reproduction", the priority interruption information Y1 is reproduced after completing the reproduction of the speech information with the attribute "interruptible after reproduction" to be reproduced next. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
