<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device for vehicle that can reduce the component cost and power loss, and can thin a wire rod. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply device for vehicle supplies a power source from a battery 3 to on-board loads 7, 8 and 9 having controllers 7a, 8a, and 9a respectively. The power supply device for vehicle has: a control voltage producing circuit 6 that steps down an output voltage of the battery 3, and gives the stepped-down output voltage to the controllers 7a, 8a, and 9a as a control voltage; current detectors 25a, 26a, and 27a that respectively detect a value of a current flowing in the controllers 7a, 8a, and 9a based on the control voltage given from the control voltage producing circuit 6; means 16, 17, and 18 that respectively calculate a temperature of coated wires 25, 26, and 27 in which a current corresponding to the current value flows, based on the detected current value; means 16, 17, and 18 that respectively determine whether or not the calculated temperature is equal to or more than a predetermined temperature; and a switch 21 that turns an output current of the control voltage producing circuit 6 off when the means 16, 17, and 18 for determination determined that the calculated temperature is equal to or more than the predetermined temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
