<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric food processor having a preparation member easy to clean, a container easy to mount to a body, and a simple structure for transmitting the operation of mounting the container or a lid to a detection unit. <P>SOLUTION: Container mounting operation based on the operation of mounting a container base 2 and the container 3, or lid mounting operation based on the operation of mounting a lid 4 to the container 3 having been mounted, is freely transmitted to the detection units 24 and 25 through the transmission between a container side transmission member 26 provided on the container 3 side, and a body side transmission member 27 provided on the body 1 side. The detection units 24 and 25 are configured to detect a container mounted state when the container mounting operation is transmitted, or detect a lid mounted state when the lid mounting operation is transmitted.
