<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device, power supply control method and power supply control program capable of driving any types of recording medium to be installed. <P>SOLUTION: An IC recorder comprises: a battery 19; a memory I/F37 to which a memory card 41 can be installed; a type detection part which detects the type of the memory card 41; an access processing part performing access processing which is determined in the memory card 41 in advance; a consumption current detection part 53 which detects the current value consumed by performing the access processing which is determined in the memory card 41 in advance; an additional storage part which stores the consumption current value corresponding to the detected type in the EEPROM13 based on the detected current value; power supply circuits 21 and 23 which take out electric power from the battery 19 and output it; and a power supply control part which controls the power supply circuits 21 and 23.
