<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a still picture reproduction apparatus and a still picture reproduction method capable of displaying a message except in a key region of a face or the like in a still picture in displaying, and in addition, changing transmissivity of a message panel in accordance with luminance of the still picture in displaying. <P>SOLUTION: A still picture reproduction apparatus which synthesizes a still picture and a message to display them in a display includes: a storage part storing a still picture image data of the still picture; a message display control part receiving a message display request; an image analysis part, when the message display request is received, specifying a key display region of the still picture image data; a display position specification part, based on the specified key display region, specifying a message display area for displaying the message in a display area of the display; and an output part arranging the image data of the message in the specified message display area, and synthesizing that image data and the still picture image data to output them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
