<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector, etc. that is prevented from being inserted in error, and eliminates the need to largely rotate a plug, etc. when the plug is inserted into a socket. <P>SOLUTION: A plug-in connector comprises a pin plug 10 and a receptacle 20, and the pin plug 10 and receptacle 20 are connected to each other. A pin cover body 14 of the pin plug 10 is provided with a plurality of pin plug key projections 15 which are apart from one another in a peripheral direction, and a plurality of sets 28a-28e of a plurality of key grooves 28, which are apart from one another in the peripheral direction and fitted with the plurality of pin plug key projections 15, are arranged, shifting from one another in the peripheral direction, on a socket cover 27 of the receptacle 20.
