The invention relates to floor mats for absorbing liquids, comprising a shell made of a flexible, non-woven spunbonded fabric, wherein the shell comprises a first and a second section, wherein the first and the second sections of the shell are connected to each other in some sections in such a way that the first and the second sections of the shell form a pocket, and comprising at least one absorbent material section that comprises a superabsorbent material, wherein the absorbent material section is arranged in the pocket. Such floor mats known from the prior art are available only with certain specified absorbing capacities. Therefore, it is proposed that a known floor mat be developed in such a way that the first and/or the second section of the shell has a length in a range of 200 mm to 1000 mm and a width in a range of 200 mm to 600 mm, wherein the floor mat comprises at least two sections having a first thickness and at least one section having a second thickness, wherein the second thickness is less than the first thickness and wherein the section having the second thickness is arranged between the sections having the first thickness in such a way that the section having the second thickness forms a fold line so that the two sections of the floor mat can be pivoted toward each other. |
