<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antireflection film having good scratch resistance with high reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The antireflection film includes a transparent resin film and a low refractive index layer containing a binder matrix and inorganic fine particles in the outermost layer, and is characterized in that the average particle diameter of the inorganic fine particles is 100% or less with respect to the thickness of the low refractive index layer and that the density of the low refractive index layer measured by an X-ray reflectance measurement method is 1.4 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>or more.
