<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a motor retention current while a waste gate valve 1 is fully closed or fully opened. <P>SOLUTION: In an electric actuator to control to open/close a waste gate valve 1, a load applying direction of a rod 4 on a center line in the axial line direction (on rod axial center line RC) is perpendicular to the direction of a common tangential line T on a contact face between a plate cam 17 and a follower 19. Thereby, a load (valve reaction force) transmitted from the rod 4 to the plate cam 17 is prevented from moving in a direction to rotate the plate cam 17. Therefore, while the waste gate valve 1 is fully opened and while the waste gate valve 1 is fully closed, a motor retention current can be reduced, wherein the motor retention current is necessary to hold the waste gate valve 1 in a static state at the fully opened position or fully closed position against the load (valve reaction force) transmitted from the rod 4 to the plate cam 17.
