<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophobic magnetite particle which is easy to be distributed in a manufacturing process of a toner when used as a raw material of a polymerization method toner and in which the dispersibility in the toner is high. <P>SOLUTION: The coating magnetite particle is obtained by dry treating a core particle of a magnetite and an organic silane having a 2-10C alkyl group, wherein a surface of the core particle is covered with a hydrophobizing agent, and an average particle diameter B of an aggregated particle measured by a laser type particle size distribution measurement apparatus is more than one and less than three times to an average particle diameter A of a primary particle measured by a scanning type microscope observation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
