<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device suppressing sealing failure by forming frame-like metal films with a chromium layer (Cr), a NiW alloy layer (NiW) formed on the surface of the chromium layer, and a gold layer (Au) formed on the surface of the NiW alloy layer. <P>SOLUTION: A surface-mounted piezoelectric device comprises a package having at least a piezoelectric vibration piece 14a which vibrates at a predetermined frequency, a cover 16 which is composed of a glass or a piezoelectric material, and a base board 15, and encloses the piezoelectric vibration piece 14a. The package comprises frame-like metal films 6a and 6b formed on the periphery of the cover or the base board for sealing by soldering, or a mounting terminal 7 formed in an outer bottom face of the base board. The frame-like metal films or the mounting terminal comprises: a chromium layer (Cr) formed on the surface of the glass or the piezoelectric material; a NiW alloy layer (NiW) formed on the surface of the chromium layer; and a gold layer (Au) formed on the surface of the NiW alloy layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
