<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle periphery image display device capable of preventing the luminance deterioration of the entire composite image caused by a shadow contained in a part of captured images. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle periphery image display device comprises: a shadow determination unit 15 which determines whether the shadow is included in the single composite image generated on the basis of a plurality of captured images captured by respective cameras 1a to 1d for capturing the periphery of the vehicle and which when the shadow is determined to be included, identifies the image including the shadow from among the plurality of captured images constituting the composite image; adjustment units 5a to 5d which when the shadow determination unit 15 identifies the image including the shadow, adjust the luminance of each captured image on the basis of the mean luminance of the residual captured image except the image including the shadow; and a display means 3 which displays the composite image generated on the basis of the captured images which is subjected to the adjustment of the luminance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
