<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a passenger conveyor capable of quickly taking out foreign matter nipped in an inlet boot. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical guide body 11 for surrounding a moving handrail 5 is fixed in a skirt guard 6. The guide body 11 is surrounded by a rubber cylindrical pushing-out member 12. The pushing-out member 12 can slide along the longitudinal direction of the moving handrail 5 to the guide body 11. Actually, the pushing-out member 12 can move between an ordinary position stored in the inlet boot 7 and a pushing-out position on the upstream side of the ordinary position in the direction for pulling the moving handrail 5 in the doorway. When the passenger conveyor is stopped by operating an inlet switch, the pushing-out member 12 is moved to the pushing-out position from the ordinary position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
