<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixer allowing prevention of escape of heat from a burner to a surrounding space, allowing sufficient and uniform heating of a rotary container, allowing suppression of fuel consumption of the burner, and not causing increase of size of the mixer. <P>SOLUTION: In this mixer, an outer circumferential face 4 of the rotary container 3 is provided with a space demarcation part 43. The space demarcation part 43 comprises: a plurality of support plates 45 radially disposed with the axis C of the rotary container 3 as the center; and a cover 47 which is supported by the support plates 45 and covers the outer circumferential face 4 in such a state that a space is formed between the cover 47 and the outer circumferential face 4 of the rotary container 3. In the space demarcation part 43, an opening part 17 side in a direction wherein the central axis C of the rotary container 3 extends is closed, and a bottom part 37 side is opened. Flame injected from a flame injection nozzle of the burner 51 is injected into the space between the space demarcation part 43 and the outer circumferential face 4 of the rotary container 3 from a flame injection port 49.
