<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retreaded tire in which retreading work time can be shortened by omitting a stapler processing and the separation of ends of precure treads can effectively be prevented, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the retreaded tire having band-like precure tread 2 wound via a rubber layer 3 for bonding to a base tire 1, at least a projection 201A molded based on gauge change and extended in the thickness direction is provided at one end 2A of the precure tread 2. The other end 2B of the precure tread 2 is shaped so as to engage with one end 2A having the projection 201A.
