PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of communication with a host circuit in a storage device.

SOLUTION: The storage device which is electrically connected with the host circuit comprises: a non-volatile data storage unit; a data receiving unit, a judging unit; and a data transmitting unit. The data receiving unit receives first data to be written into a memory array from the host circuit and second data generated based on the first data. The judging unit judges consistency of the first data and the second data. The data transmitting unit transmits a judgement result to the host circuit. When a positive judgement result is gained by the judging unit, the data transmitting unit 1) transmits the positive judgement result to the host circuit when writing the data into the data storage unit is completed, 2) does not transmit the positive judgement result to the host circuit when writing the data into the data storage unit is not completed.
