EDGE GUIDE DEVICE, MEDIUM ACCOMMODATION CASSETTE, AND RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-operate edge guide device that uses an elastically soft friction member.

SOLUTION: The edge guide device includes: an edge guide body which guides a medium to be recorded that is conveyed in contact with a side E of the medium to be recorded accommodated in a medium accommodation portion, and is slidable in a direction close to and apart from the position of the side; and a friction stop mechanism which maintains a stop state of the edge guide body by frictional force when the edge guide body is at the stop position. The friction stop mechanism includes: a friction member 63 coming in contact with a slide contact surface 62 provided in the medium accommodation portion; a friction member holder 67 holding the friction member and attached to a portion to be attached 65 of the edge guide body so as to be slidable in a direction close to and apart from the slide contact surface; and a biasing member 69 biasing the friction member holder toward the slide contact surface and pressing the contact surface of the friction member against the sliding surface.
