DEVICE FOR CONTROL OF HYBRID VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of responsiveness of driving force when reducing backlash.

SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle (1) includes: an internal combustion engine (200); a first rotary electric machine (MG1); a torque transmission mechanism (400) which includes a plurality of rotating elements having backlash in rotating direction; a differential mechanism (300); and a second rotary electric machine (MG2) which can transmit torque between the input shaft and itself. A control device (100) which controls the hybrid vehicle includes: a backlash reducing executor to perform predetermined backlash reducing control which packs the backlash by torque control of a second rotary electric machine for targeting the backlash clogging state after inversion of a backlash jamming direction, when the backlash jamming direction relating to the backlash clogging state is reversed in the torque transmission mechanism; and a suppressor to control the first rotary electric machine so that torque transmission from the internal combustion engine to the torque transmission mechanism is suppressed in execution period of the backlash reducing control.
