<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wasteful power consumption in a data transmitter, and to prevent the wiretapping of authentication data, transmitted from the data transmitter to a mobile terminal, by a third party. <P>SOLUTION: A data transmitter 23 includes: decision means 4a for deciding whether an ON operation interval of ON switch means 1 to start authentication data transmission exceeds a predetermined time; setting means 4b for setting the operation of the ON switch means 1 to an ineffective mode, when the authentication data transmission is decided based on the ON operation data and the decision result of the decision means 4a; and cancellation means 5 for canceling the ineffective mode based on the ON operation data.
